Gone to the Rainbow Bridge

Hi pals,

Thank you for all the love and support during my illness. I let mom know last night that it was time to go. I didn't have enough left in me to fight. She understood when I laid my head on her lap that I was tired and ready to go.

I deteriorated overnight and although weak, wanted some deck time this morning. I spent about 30 minutes sitting outside watching the birds. Mom then put me in the carrier and off we went on my last car ride to the vet. I meowed at first but then laid down and rode quietly the rest of the way. The vet took one look at me and one look at mom and knew it was time to help me over the Rainbow Bridge. Mom cried. I wrapped my paws around her arm and hugged her as I took my last breath...

I hope mom knows she made the right decision. I am no longer in pain and can fly free now. Brofur Cosmo met me at the bridge.

Please keep mom and sisfur Mia in your thoughts and prayers as I know they miss me already. :(

Love,
CJ

  13. ~~~~ and St Francis said, "Come little one, there is nothing more I can do for you here, don't be afraid"

    and St Francis gently picked up CJ and carried him into the kingdom of heaven

    ~~~~ when the little cat looked around, he realized everything St Francis told him on his journey was true; heaven was beautiful beyond what mere words could express.....
    and CJ saw there was no pain, suffering, fear, sickness, hunger, thirst or sorrow, until he looked down and saw the family and friends he had left behind. ......and for a very brief moment, the little cat too, was filled with sorrow.
    then St Francis bestowed CJ with a set of wings and said, "Use them to return to your family, when their need is the greatest, as nothing can separate your bond of love. Hold each other in your hearts and your memories, until you are reunited again at heaven's door."
    and when the little cat tried on his wings, he knew nothing was impossible...... when there is....love
    Godspeed CJ with love from Boomer, Dai$y, Tuna; and Dude and Sauce too...we didn’t know you as long as others, but we were... and are.. happy to have been able to call you friend....our condolences to you mom and sister.... we are truly sorry ♥♥♥♥♥♥
    You had such a brave heart and fought through difficulty to have more time enjoy life with Mom and your family. We know you are now pain free, full of energy and flying around learning all the fun places to go and things to do with all of our family Angels and so many more who have greeted you with open paws. Watch over us dear CJ as you fly over and drop a little kitty angel dust where it is needed most.
  37. Oh Kathi I am so sad for you....CJ was a treasure for sure in your life. This poem struck with my heartstrings after we lost our Hunny Bunny overnight...may it give you some warm feelings in your sad heart too...
    love from the cozy cottage and mom Karla
    I too, would make a will
    if I could write.
    To some poor, wistful, lonely
    stray I leave my happy home.
    My dish, my cosy bed
    my cushioned chair, my toy.
    The well-loved lap
    The gently stroking hand
    The loving voice
    The place I made in someone's heart.
    The love, that at the last,
    Could help me to a peaceful, painless end
    Held in loving arms
    If I should die
    Oh, do not say:
    'No more a pet I'll have
    To grieve me by its loss'
    Seek out a lonely, unloved cat
    And give my place to him.
    This is my legacy
    The love I leave behind
    Tis all I have to give
  50. Although it is always hard for us humans to lose a beloved furbaby, we must always remember that at the Rainbow Bridge there is nothing but happiness and youth and freedom. Our furbabies wait there, pain free and free to fly, until it is our time to meet again.
    To CJ's mom, I send send you my most heartfelt condolences. Always know that you did indeed do the right thing. Making that last, final decision for your furbaby is the most selfless, loving thing you can do for them. CJ is now free to be at peace while he waits for you to meet again.
    My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I hope you can find comfort in the many, many fond memories you have of your sweet CJ.
