Meowing Diva

Mom says Mia is driving her crazy. She thinks Mia misses me since I have gone OTRB. She wanders around the house meowing in the middle of the night. This is new for Mia. She has never done this before. She certainly didn't do it when I was around. Mom says she is sniffing my beds. (I had some favorite things such as beds that Mia never really took a liking too and mom hasn't gotten rid of.) She's not really playing much either although mom did get her to play a little with the wand toy recently.

Mia the Diva

I have to admit that I never really was buddies with Mia even though she tried to be my buddy. (I was buddies with Cosmo and never really adjusted to Mia whom mom adopted 2 years after losing Cosmo in the fire). It sounds like Mia misses me. What's mom to do? I don't know if mom is ready to adopt a new kitty yet but maybe it would be good for Mia if she did? Is Mia just being a Diva now that she has the house to herself? Or is she ready for a new brofur or sisfur?  Looking out for mom and Mia from the Rainbow Bridge is hard!

  2. Of course Mia is missing having you around. When my sister, Angel Lilly went OTRB I was very lonely and that's when Mom adopted Minchie to keep me company.

CJ, we are still missing you too.

  3. Mia is missing you. Nicky and Autumn hated each other yet Nicky died a little over a week after Autumn. You never know. Tell your Mom to give her lots of attention and loving.

  4. We're sure Mia is missing you, CJ. She probably would like to have a new brother or sister, whenever your mom is ready.

  5. It sounds to me like Mia is really missing you, even though you weren't that enthralled with her. I'd say, let her have some time to grieve (and your human too) before bringing home a new family member.

  6. I agree, Mia misses you very much, CJ. I hope your mom will give her all the lovins she can. Still trying to play with her for sure but snuggle in the bed, lots of kisses in the morning, snuggle in the evenings...Mia needs her mommy for comfort. xoxox

  7. Mia is grieving just as your Mom is....they do need each other right now but who knows - maybe there will be a new "distraction" for Mia when your Mom is ready to add a new family member?

    Hugs, Sammy
p.s. CJ it's good to hear from you....it must be hard guiding from the Bridge but you'll learn to do it better as time goes by! ;)

  8. Oh CJ ! Mia (being a calico) is missing you and having a hard time admitting she is having a hard time. She and your Mom need each other very much right now. It is good you are keeping an eye on them from OTB - and maybe you can steer some needy kitty their way if you happen to find one that you think would be a good fit when they are ready !

  9. CJ if you just say to the world, send me another kitty when you think the time is right then take a breath and love Mia and your Mum and try not to worry. Our Sienna does the same since Peanut died. They were not 'close' buddies but Sienna shouts around the house since our best girl brosed the Bridge.

Hang in there Mia and Mum. We said, when Peanut went, that we would not adopt another cat, BUT that if a cat in desperate need crossed our path we would not turn away. Barely a week later the appeal came from a desperate friend who needed to rehome senior Dusty. It's been a slow 9 months as he had a lot of trauma BUT he now comes out and waits for breakfast each day!

  10. Oh course Mia misses you CJ. We think that she is looking for you. We know first hand how hard it can be to lose a furbro/fursis. Samantha was a tortie with catitude. That girl ruled with an iron paw. It was a love hate relationship. We still miss her dearly. We didn't think humom would ever get a new addition. But look at us today. Two new additions. We are so glad of this. I am an old grandpaw at 18 yrs. The kittens help me to groom and keep feeling young. It takes time. There are so many babies that need loving furever homes. You will never be replaced CJ. Your spirit lives on. Purrs
